Mini kegs have dip tubes?
Sorry, but I'm unfamiliar with the inside of mini kegs (I'm referring here to like a Bell's Oberon keg or a Heineken keg) as I've never used one. I'm considering buying one or two.
Thanks for the reply and advice
I left mine near a small open window facing an alley in an otherwise dark room in order to keep it cool, but now I'm a bit concerned that it could skunk. It's been fairly sunny here and it would have had about a day's worth of partial sunlight shining directly on it...
Any thoughts?
Random thought regarding my own question: any chance that the fermenting these things on the lower end of the fermentation range produced these flavors?
So I just tasted both of my beers and took their gravities after exactly seven days of fermentation. To my dismay, both have a bit of a chemical-y, solvent-y character. Both are obviously extremely young.

I know this is over a year ago, but how did this turn out? I'm looking to maybe try my hand at cloning this thing. I have absolutely no idea how much peat is too much. To me, the beer isn't too heavy on the peat...
Awesome. Tons of thanks. I plan on boiling 1-2 oz in a cup of water, cooling the water, and pitching the whole thing into my secondary.
Do I want the throw in the pods or the pulp?
Hello,

Will leaving really old, very bad tasting homebrew (no infection issues, just fermented WAY too hot) ruin the cornie keg itself at all or is it something that a good cleaning and a couple of gasket replacements could easily fix?
Thanks!
Sorry. I didn't mean to ruffle anyone's feathers. I was just looking for addition feedback about item "A", which smizak kindly supplied.
Thanks to all who responded.
Last night, I took a friend's advice the brew kettle covered in the ice bath during the cooling stage, meaning that it probably took 28 minutes or so to get cool (which is a good bit longer than normal). I did this because he was concerned about sanitation and bugs in teh ambient air.

I've gotten that from simcoe as well. I didn't want to put in there because I didn't want to biases anybody who is responding, but yeah -- I'd love to get other people's thoughts on simcoe and cat pee.
If the area where Im fermenting my beer isnt super clean, do you think that will increase my chances of getting an infected batch?
Heres why I askI started a dubbel in a cleaner area and then moved it to a warmer (and more dirty area) to warm it up. Its still bubbling every five seconds...
