    Northern Discovery Hops?

I met the owner in San Antonio last month. He has given some hops for testing to my LHBS and to the president of my organization (www.sanantoniocerveceros.org). Haven't gotten my hands on any to brew with yet - but I'm interested. I'd probably do a single hop IPA with them and see how they...

    Homebrewtalk Carboy Cleaner Giveaway

I think I should be the winner this week. Since I didn't win last time I've been crying into my beer - the tears and the lack of cleanliness (since, you know, I don't have a carboy or keg cleaner) is really affecting my enjoyment. Please have Santa hand deliver my winnings. Thank you.

    Homebrewtalk Carboy Cleaner Giveaway

I have several reasons why I would enjoy winning these items: 1) I hate trying to reach into the bottom of my kegs to clean them with a brush, 2) I hate spraying filthy water on myself while trying to clean my carboys with a brush, 3) I like free stuff! Pick me, pick me!

    Carboy/ Keg Cleaner Giveaway

I hope I didn't reply more than once. I searched for myself and couldn't find any replies... but with 419 pages I'm not sure I could find myself if I tried. Anyway, I wanna win!

Beer won't flow through dispensing line

CO2 absorbs into a solution better at a lower temperature. Why are you keeping it at 60 degrees? Also, according to BeerSmith's carbonation calculator 12psi at 60 degrees would carb 5 gallons of beer to 1.7 volumes of CO2. What level are you going for? What kind of line and tap are you using?

    Giant bottles

Anchor Our Christmas Ale is bottled in magnum bottles every year. I believe they are 50.5 oz. I have one from two years ago. They also have removable labels unlike the Samiclaus and Arrogant/Double Bastard ones.

What kind of label paper do ya'll use?

I would avoid the deskjet. The first time the bottles go into a cooler or sweat a little the ink will run off. Stick with a laser printer. I go to Office Max with my label design as a PDF on a pen drive. They are able to print enough labels for a ~50 bottle batch for $3-4. I ask for 24#...

cider is giving off an odd smell

WLP775 is notorious for sulfur smells. I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point.

    Cider labels

Sure, First of all, I made 5 gallons of the straight cider with WLP775 English Cider Yeast. I used 5 gallons of Musselman's Apple Cider purchased at Wal-Mart. Then after a week I racked it into secondary and made the Spiced Cider on top of the yeast cake. I added 3.5 tsp. of pectic enzyme to...

    Cider labels

New cider labels I made for the 15 gallons of cider I bottled this week. Let me know what you think.

    Newby

I would also recommend craigslist. I got a nice huge freezer (holds 8 kegs) for $80. Remember, once you factor in the cost of the kegging equipment and the temp controller you're going to be up there in cost.
