being a college homebrewer i am usually around 3-6 pints a night while doing homework and being with the guys up to 8 but on the weekends it is crazy and may be 15+ friday and saturday night but not always

just curious about about the bourbon soaking oak chips and vanilla beans. does anyone have any tips I have never done it before and am curious about how long it all needs to soak and how much bourbon to use. any help would be great thanks.
yeah definitely Asa knows his stuff and I know they are going to start doing lots of demonstrations coming up soon. I am pretty sure they will also let you brew right in the store if you bring in your equipment.
A friend of mine recently opened a homebrew/sustainable living shop in Bangor Maine. saturday Nov. 20th from 1:00-3:30 there will be a demonstration on basic homebrewing. Don't know how many mainers are on here but hope to see you there.
Every year at thanksgiving my family makes hot apple cider but adds orange and cloves. We do this by baking an orange stuck full of cloves and once it turns black throw it in a pot with the warm apple cider.
