    I personally would go with a 148F maybe max 150F on the mash. I like to get a little better attenuation. 153F would just be too sweet.

    For the 1.5" tc's I recommend 1.25" and the dimpling tool. 1 3/16 would be even better.

    I definitely agree. I went down to 152 on the second batch of this. I would even consider a 148 mash temp for the next version.

    Adding the honey sounds like an interesting idea. Are you adding the hone during fermentation or to back sweeten the beer?

    Dean, this is when recirculation becomes hugely important. I'd definitely considering adding a pump and putting a probe on the outlet.

    Bobby, it would seem that if you were welding these in you would probably want to weld them on both the inside and outside?
