What pump from these 2 do you recommend?

I just bought some of the Laing Ecocirc, which appear very similar to the Vortex you posted, from here http://www.pumpendiscounter.de/ReigaGbR-s319h290-Laing-ecocirc-E1.html These have a head of 1m. They do a 3m version (http://www.pumpendiscounter.de/ReigaGbR-s438h290-Laing-ecocirc-E3.html)...

    Homebrewing Needs a Woman's Touch

To your second point, they've already treated some of those criticisms in other articles (http://amptoons.com/blog/2006/05/29/in-defense-of-generalizations-and-petty-complaints/). To the third: "all women are affected by sexism and misogyny, even though not all men are sexist. "...

Just putting sugar in bottles to prime

Depending on how many bottles you do, it can be a really tedious job but it works.

    Fogao industrial = brewstand?

    anyone use pumps like this?

Thanks for the input. This pump is rated to 97 degC, is a magnetic impeller (seems to be some magnetic ceramic). It has a 1 metre head. As I say, it's (supposed to be) the one used in the Braumeister. As I understand it, you can't have this kind of pump rated for true boiling temps due to it...

    anyone use pumps like this?

These seem to be the same as the pumps in the Braumeister. A little cheaper than Chugger or March, and seem easier to clean: (apologies, link is in German, I couldn't find one in English)...

    Saison Shipwrecked Saison

Gordon Strong of BJCP fame tasted one of my attempts at this the other night. He was already three sheets to the wind from a heavy day of 'tasting', but after he told me to **** off (long story :P ) he gave it a try. Said it was good, but either needed to drop the ABV (mine started a bit strong...

    Shout out to Keg Connection

Yep, great service for me too. One of the plastic flanges for the taps I ordered had cracked in the mail. Pinged them an email and sure enough a few days later, not one replacement but 3 arrived in the post!

    Saison Shipwrecked Saison

I brewed a batch of this with a little less Coriander, then at bottling I added about 1 pint of Hibiscus tea made from 60g dried flowers per 5gal to the bucket at the same time as priming sugar syrup. I didn't add the flowers to the racking bucket, just the tea. It's fantastic!

    Aventinus FG 1.020?

Hi all, Resurrecting this old thread to ask a similar question. What is the FG of Aventinus? OP said they measured 1.020. Does anyone else have a bottle they'd be willing to open and test "for science"? I've got a clone sitting almost ready to bottle and it's sitting at 1.024. I need to know...

Painful, a cheese article on a beer forum on st patty's day

If you're going to call out a lack of respect for a tradition, at least get the bloody name of that tradition right. http://paddynotpatty.com/

    Stone Hibiscusicity Attempt

I just bottled about 3 gallons of saison with tea from 1oz of hibiscus - it didn't add much flavour (was noticeable though) and it ended up a peach colour. If you want a strong presence, I would use at least 3oz in a 5gal batch.
