    Chocolate flavor in beer

Recently made a chocolate stout with 4 oz of 70% bakers chocolate and 1 lb of chocolate malt. It was very noticeable and tasted delicious! I added the 4 oz of chocolate for the last 5 minutes of the boil and didn't put anymore than that in the beer. I would like to try 4 oz in the secondary...

I know it's off from this beer but tried making it based off of the Samuel Smith's Chocolate Stout. I didn't try it without raspberries but wish I...

Something I found from Samuel Smiths Beer Reference Chart from merchantduvin says they use cocoa. Their site says Theobroma cacao is used of course in addition to the chocoloate malt and roasted barley. As soon as I can give this an attempt, I will let you guys know how it turns out. jpjr...

Show off your 2012 Hops garden!

Here is the progress of my cascade hops. It's their first year and they were planted in March (warm weather in Nebraska early this year). I made a hop tipi out of 4 10ft 2 by 2's, twine winding up clock wise and a lot of zip ties :).
