    that's great! most of the ones we usually see people bring in from the turkey fryer packages are really flimsy aluminum.

    Question about Steeping

    as long as it isn't packed tightly together you will be fine. clothes pin it to your kettle very loosely and let it do its thing! a few stirs and ups and downs wouldn't hurt either!

    siphon noob question

    do not! i repeat do not start a siphon with your mouth! please go the extra mile and spend the $10 on an auto siphon. it will save you so much effort and keep you away from all that bacteria that grows in your mouth.

    i would stay away from an aluminum kettle. yes the come with that turkey fryer you purchased but will often give off flavors to your beer. i would recommend getting a stainless kettle
