Well needless to say, I was in a hurry and not paying close enough attention. It's been a year since my last brew and I was trying to crank out some home improvement projects at the same time so I managed to fail to follow the partial grain recipe for fat tire. Just wondering g if you guys have...
I just hooked up a 1/4 of Oberon and pretty close to what bwarbiany said is happening.
The Oberon is pouring foamy but a lot slower than the cornie. To make it look like it is pouring like a normal tap I have to crank the regulator up to around 12psi. Is that OK? I'm just affraid the Oberon...
Thanks bwarbiany, so there's a chance that the commercial keg wont pour as well as the homebrew keg? But overall, it should work the way I have it set up?
Hi guys, wondering if anyone has a homebrew keg hooked up on the same regulator and CO2 tank as a craft brew keg? I bought the CO2 Splitter but I am now looking at the whole setup and thinking that the same pressure on 2 different types of kegs wont work... Can anyone confirm or deny?
Long story short, I'm restoring this cool old kegerator, Ive got the lines and fittings re-done but the one part I cant find is the tower shank. I need a shank that has a 9/16" diameter to go through the hole in the 2.5" diameter tower.
My other option is to take the tower to a machine shop...
I think I ruined this batch... Somehow the Auto-siphon didn't work, I think I used a different tube to attach to it that didn't fit snugly so I couldnt create a total seal to maintain the siphon. So instead of finding the other tube I manually pumped it into my cornie. There were a good deal of...
Thanks - The rubber is replaced, its almost like the aluminum is holding the smell. Will that leach into the beer?, I will try a different cleaner to see if that does the trick. Any other recommendations?
I am planning on racking to my secondary today, which is a cornie, but got me to thinking, do I need an airlock? I know the fermentation is about done, no more bubbling in my primary airlock but just a bit curious if sitting in a cornie for 1-2 weeks will build up enough pressure to create a...
A friend of a friend gave me his old cornie keg that I want to use as my secondary. When I opened it it visually looks clean of any debris or residue but has a strong rootbeer smell, I have it soaking in hot water and sanitizer - will this smell permiate into my beer if I use it as the secondary?
I do plan to leave them grow as naturally as I can to get them to be strong enough to handle being transplanted next spring. I am working on a redesign for the garden. Any transplanting tips? these seem to be extremely hardy plants.
On another note, you can find wild hops growing out in the...
I cant seem to find the answer using the search tool, hopefully some of the vets can help me out here. Im looking to setup my kegerator with an easy changeover fitting to switch between a typical D Coupler back to the ball lock coupler for my cornie keg. I am assuming someone has done this...
