    Third time is a charm.

:D Good luck on the third!

    Question about clarity

I also give my kegs as long as I can(before I want a pint or 5 ;) ) and I do notice halfway into the keg it starts becoming almost crystal clear!

    terrible efficiency

If all the aspects are the same and your volume/numbers are correct for your mash and sparging, then it might be the mill is the culprit. Did you find any doughballs or anything in the mash afterwards? I only do 5 gallon batches and I stir/mix it really well, but I imagine with 10 gallon and...

    terrible efficiency

Hmm... Sometimes if my temp comes in a little warm I can add a tiny cold water to bring it to the temp I want. Anyway, are you sure your hyrdometer or equipment is calibrated? I suppose the crush could do it, but how were you sparging?

    Worried about first brewing attempt

It will be great, give it time like others said. That moment when you pour your first homebrew

    Worrying lack of fermentation

How long has it been in the fermenter? Maybe try giving it a cold crash if possible to separate some of the material.

    Kegging newb...

Also, for my kegerator I always like to keep a keg of Sanitizer or cleaner ready and pressurized so I have it ready to run through he lines to clean :)

    Stuck mash

+1 on the brew bag. It has been great for me. I had many stuck sparges no matter the grain size and the BB is awesome. I bungie it around my mash tun so I can stir no problem when I batch sparge. No more stuck sparges since. :)

    Worrying lack of fermentation

Ok, like the other poster said get yourself a hydrometer if you dont have one yet and make sure to record the readings, either on paper or brew software, etc. The beer does look normal with the krausen ring, although looks like grain parts floating around?

    Worrying lack of fermentation

What were your readings pre and post fermentation? The gravity readings will tell you if fermentation has completed.

    Conical Fermenter

Yes, I can literally use my sink spayer to remove the krausen ring without even scrubbing and watch it all wash away. LOVE IT:yes:

    Vanilla porter question

I have several pumpkin ales and always add vanilla after fermentation is done. I have had good results using a high quality organic extract, about 2 tsp per 5 gallons, give it a week or so and taste. I'd probably try beans next with vodka, but they are so darn expensive at the moment I would...

    Conical Fermenter

I have SS 7 gallon conical and I love it. Super easy to clean, tri clamps are great, dont have to worry about light and I can put wheels on it. Can easily take samples or dump yeast/trub. Can heat/cool it easily if you need temp control(I just use a fridge). I'll never go back to glass. For...

    Kegging newb...

I keg mine around 30PSI for about 4-5 days then turn it down to serving and see how it does. Its definitely drinkable after 2 days or so, but I don't shake it around or anything like some people do. I find if I leave in the keg longer, it becomes better carbonation wise. For instance, I have...

    Avoiding cold crash O2 suckback
