    Vanilla Bourbon Oatmeal Coffee Stout

Hm, this sounds like a really nice idea. I've got a Russian Stout in the bucket right now, and you've got me thinking about what to do with it in secondary. If you do end up going this route in the next two weeks, let em know how it goes. =)

    AHS Black IPA question?

Or brew one and try it that way. :D I made this a couple months ago, and it was fantastic: http://www.northernbrewer.com/documentation/beerkits/BlackIPA.pdf

    Which way to use coffee

This is the technique I used for my coffee porter a few months back: I got one of those little jars used for making preserves, dumped in a quarter pound of freshly ground coffee beans, and filled it to the top with water. Then I let it sit in the fridge while the beer was in primary. Once I...

    "Boondock" Irish Stout

Brewed up a batch of this yesterday. Had to make a couple substitutions, and I went with the British Ale II yeast. I can't wait to get this one in the keg! I'll let you know how it turns out. =)

Your Keg Washing System? Looking for ideas.

    - Rinse well in sink - Fill with c-brite and hot water, let sit for 30 minutes - Flip upside down, let sit for 30 more minutes - Hook up picnic tap and CO2, blow out liquid for a couple minutes, then dump out and rinse again in sink - Fill with iodophor and cold water, let sit for 30 minutes -...

How often do you change out your beer lines.

Well, this will sound horrible but... I have never cleaned my lines. I probably will out of guilt one of these days, but I've never noticed any off-putting flavors or had any issues with things growing in my lines, so I just haven't bothered. This is probably one of those "don't do what I do"...

    Extract Coffee stout or porter

I used this recipe a couple months ago. I used the cold-brew method and added it to my secondary. The reception was pretty meh at first, but after about a month in the keg, this stuff got really good. So I guess patience pays off. =)...

    Condensation issues with my kegerator

I had a similar problem caused by my basement just being too humid this time of year. I fixed that issue with a towel. ;)

    Mounting taps on drywall...

Yeah, without a backsplash of some sort you will most likely destroy the drywall. I used an old wooden plaque base and a 2x4 behind the wall. You want those taps to be nice and tight in the wall.

    Brewing in the freakin' heat?

Brewing inside with the A/C blasting. :) Of course, that only works well with extract brewing... :p

Anyone Ever Try Brewing in a Pumpkin?

I'm intrigued by this "Pumpkin Rum". Any way we could get a recipe? :mug:

    Zero minute hop addition

I do use hop bags (so much easier), and I leave all of them in the pot while it's cooling. I just take them out before I throw the wort into the bucket. Never had an issue before. :)

    Grow your own beer

They definitely seem to be missing a few steps there... How would you possibly get any usable plants out of that? I mean, the hops alone! I'm so confused...

Favorite Recipe for first time brewer

I'd guess that if this is your first go at it, you're doing extract brewing. I personally started off with a simple brown ale, and it turned out pretty well. If you're looking for an easy and delicious beer for the summertime, you may want to consider doing a hefeweizen. In any event, good...

Looking for an imperial red extract kit...

My LHBS has an Imperial Red extract kit that I've made before. It got rave reviews, especially from yours truly. :) Here's a link to the PDF: http://www.keystonehomebrew.com/beerkits/beerkits/Imperial_Red_Ale.pdf And here's the gist, for those of use who dislike PDFs: 8 lb...
