Motorized Monster Mill MM3 Pro Build

Oh you mean like this... LOL Here is my latest build V2.0. To be honest I still like sheaves because it just "felt" smoother than the gear motor, but alot safer this way. For those inquiring minds, the mill is spaced by a 1/2" thick plate of 6061 aluminum that I machined/surfaced to...

    Ball valve heat shield

That is not thick enough, it will warp and fall apart, plus its kind of small. Go ahead and spend a few extra bucks and get this, 16 gauge is plenty thick... If you have prime its at your door in 2 days... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ICS73N4/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

You mean mine? Those are Vittles Vaults! They are dog food containers, but they work great. I have grain that's been stored in there for over a year and it still tastes great. Who would have thought it would take me over a year to go through a bag of Munich ;-/ Here you go...

Ss BrewTech Chronical + Pump Cart = Ultimate CIP

I disagree, I haven't taken off the chiller coil or thermowell since I side mounted them within the last year or so. That's at least 10 batches. No problems whatsoever! In my opinion there is no need to remove them with thorough cleaning practices. :mug:

Ss BrewTech Chronical + Pump Cart = Ultimate CIP

They actually dont have it on the site as an individual item, give Curtis a call at BH, tell him you want the offset T-fitting they use for their RIMS tube!

Ss BrewTech Chronical + Pump Cart = Ultimate CIP

Thanks for the heads up... I saw on the MSDS it's only 6% Phosphoric, which when further diluted down probably isn't enough to cause an issue with silicone tubing. Also, silicone didn't make the incompatible materials list. I'll keep an eye on what it does to the tubing, but so far so good....

Ss BrewTech Chronical + Pump Cart = Ultimate CIP

Like alot of other guys here, I always had this distaste for cleaning my gear post-fermentation. Even when I used carboys, sometimes I would just cap and line them up in the garage until the weekend came around so I could clean them. What’s worse is all the cleaning gadgets, brushes, etc...

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

I know the guys over at Ss BrewTech very well, so I shot a few pics of my setup over for them to use on their site! :mug:

Help me choose a conical - Morebeer 14 gallon or SsBrewtech BME Chronical.

I would go Ss all the way, I know many people on this board are familiar with my chiller thread. But here is my latest creation. I converted my standard Chronical to BME, then built a CIP pump cart with a Chugger NANO pump. Honestly the second best investment I made behind the chiller. I...

    SSBrewtech Fermenter pitting

I have two SS BrewTech Chronicals, one that I got over two years ago, and the second just 4 months ago, and both still look like brand new. Stainless does pit from chlorinated cleaners, so they are correct that if that's what you are experiencing. Yet to me it looks more like poor cleaning...

Here you go... 10 feet for one loop, 25 feet for two loops... http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FMYWUW/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 Cheers, Michael

Motorized Monster Mill MM3 Pro Build

Looking good, Yah I remember my set-screw needed some motivation to get seated in the right spot. Glad you got it worked out!

Motorized Monster Mill MM3 Pro Build

Its been a year and I haven't had a single problem with the belt/sheaves, but that is likely the result of being able to dial in the tension. If someone fixed the tension setting I could see that being a problem. Plus I didn't go with those crappy cast aluminum sheaves... Everything is...

Motorized Monster Mill MM3 Pro Build

If the cost difference between 1/2 and 3/4 HP was pretty low I would stay with the 3/4. However, if you had a access to a 1/2 HP at say half the cost of the 3/4 I would go that route! Overall I'm EXTREMELY pleased with the mill and the motor, and I couldn't even begin to comment on whether...
