I'm just getting back into homebrewing after a 5 year hiatus :D. I did a PM Stout to get back into the swing of things last weekend, and forgot to attach any tubing to my mash tun for lautering. I knew I wanted to minimize splashing, but just brain farted on the tubing!
I knew the answer...
Ahhh! I went there once after hearing about it from the guys at South Bay Brewing Supply...the tasting room was closed though. Would love to meet some of you brew dudes there!
My two local shops are Culver City Brew Supply and South Bay Brewing Supply. My choice by far is South Bay...in my experience they are happy to help no matter your brewing experience. I just get a good vibe from the place. They are closed on Sundays though.

Cheers! I'm starting my own cider tonight...I've made EdWort's Apfelwein in the past but never a cider. Glad to hear you're using that juicer for some REAL good :-)

nkonkie :off:

Sparging is where I went wrong on my first partial mash brew...I didn't sparge with enough water and ended up with terrible efficiency (around 50%). I realized once I started the mash I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing :o My next brew is gonna be an AG and I think I have the process all...
