I have done a batch with WLP670. It was great but it took a LONG time to get to it's best. The first 3-5 months it was just ok.. It peaked at right around 1 year. Also I mashed higher to leave some extra fermentables for the Brett. I use well water and haven't had it tested yet so unsure on...
I'm drinking this beer now and I completely agree with you JG.. I'd do WAY more dry hops if I tried to clone it. I would probably do 6-9 oz maybe 2 additions. This really is an excellent beer I might have to give it a try. Nice sweet candi taste on the finish much like a lagunitas brew imo.
Excellent I'm glad you got it before you left town. Enjoy! By the way I won 2nd place at the Battle of the Homebrews in Spokane, WA with that Flanders Red and I won a local comp with it as well. Not to toot my own horn too much but it is probably better than the rest of those mediocre beers :D
List
My fridge is running way low on IPAs and double IPAs. I would love to restock the IPA shelf with IPAs that I have never had before. The more local to you and less distributed the better! I also like saisons, gose, and sours. Don't much care for smoked beers. Ready set go.
