    Witbier Belgian Witbier

Just brewed this today, except with 0.5oz of regular corriander (not Indian) and 0.35oz of bitter orange peel (I'm not the biggest fan of orange peel, and the stuff I got seemed particularly bitter...). I used harvested Hoegaarden yeast instead of WLP400 (though I've been told it's the same...

    National Homebrew Day Giveaway!

I only started last August, so this is my first National Hombrew day! It sucks that I'm busy pretty much all day, but most of that is getting ready for a friend's birthday party, including ample amounts of homemade beer and applewine, both based off of recipies that kind people have shared on...

10 Most Badass Craft Brewery Logos

I've always loved the Walkerville Brewery logo! That being said, I'm partial, it's the flagship (pun intended) for craft beer in my hometown! ;)

Imperial Stout Oblivion: Russian Imperial Stout

Also, I found out that my local store doesn't have Caramel 80, only Caramel 90 and caramel 60. Instead of 3lbs of Caramel 80, do you think it would be okay to do 2lbs of Caramel 90 and 1lb of Caramel 60 to "even it out"?

    Good Inexpensive Scotch?

Best blend I've ever had is called Te Bheag. Pretty cheap compared even to The Glenlivet 12yr! Grant's green (sherry cask) is also very good. A bit lighter and sweeter than most scotches, like Glenlivet 12

    Irish Whiskey

Oh, Irish whiskey is my favourite. My favourite kind is Bushmill's Black. It's a bit heavier for Irish whiskey (a fair amount of single malt in the blend) but it's aged in sherry casks which gives it a strong nose and rounds out the flavour with a nice bit of sweetness. Writer's Tears is a...

Pappy`s Pub Cider - Award Winner!

Made this with probably a pound more sugar (accidentally, I swear!) and then put 4 sticks of cinnamon, 5 cloves, and a teaspoon and a half of nutmeg all in for secondary. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever had! Everyone I know agreed, and about half a dozen people were...

BrewsBySmith 2 stage Fermentation Temperature Controller Giveaway!

Couldn't hurt to enter, though I'd have to learn how to use it. No problem, though, I like learning, and anything for the brew!
