Wow - brewed this a week ago and it's just about perfect. I mixed Wyeast 3944 and 1214 just for kicks and this beer is awesome. The black pepper is barely noticeable, but it's there at the end. Great recipe!

I've had exactly the same experience. A hiccup is expected every once in a while.

It's so tempting to harvest when they're huge and green, but you really need to wait until you've got a little browning on the edges and they crunch and quickly "rebound" when you squeeze them. I've just taken out the ladder and scoured bines every few days once I've found a cone or two that...

BMW - your Styrian Goldings are list at 2.6% AA. Is that accurate? Seems awful low.

I have a hard time believing those are ready to pick already. Are they dry and papery? Spring back right after you squeeze them?

Here's mine - 3 Centennials and 2 Willamette right now. Just planted a couple Brewer's Gold on the far left.
