try white labs cry havoc yeast. works great for cream ales. comes out very light, clear, and clean.

Noticed this with my first kit after primary of 2 weeks. So now I just leave it for 3 weeks before looking at it again. LHBS recomendation. Usually ferment my brews around 62-64.

I can't get a lot of good brews in Jersey and don't want to buy by the case from pa. Also like experimenting with the different Hosp and grains and process. DIY'ing brew equipment is also fun and challenging.

Of course. You added a secret ingredient, whatever was on the copper. LOL

Probably some oils leftover from manufacturing. I'm still alive after 3 years of brewing with my copper chiller. Your probably safe.

Isn't starsan not as effective.when it dries? Why not just wash with pbw/oxy and dry it and store it. Do quick starsan soak as you bottle.

Do you remember you mash temp and qt/lb ratio for water?

What do you use to get gravity reading? All grain or extract?

You drink some then pour it back in? Backwash? Probably should pour most back first then taste sample.
