Just pulled my first pint of this one to "product control test" before bottling for Christmas. Damn! It drinks like a crisp Pilsner. I used Galena and Spalt Select with Notty at 16 degrees Celsius and "lagered" for a month. Will be a house beer in the new keezer.

I ripped this one out last week. Nice cold Nova Scotia weather meant that temp control was achieved naturally. Smells pretty good. I ALWAYS use Nottingham on light ales and it clears like a boss.
Just sampled my first batch. FG hit 1.015 and it tastes AMAZING heading to the keg. I'm planning to do another batch next week and oak half in the secondary. A new staple for the buckets!
Brewed up 6 Gallons of this on Sunday. I described the first runnings to a fellow beer connoisseur as if "chocolatey coffee made a baby with caramel flavoured vodka"
This is my 7th AG brew and by far my best. It has chilled out to a nice clarity and had a perfect balance of hops to malt. Will be brewing doubles of this when I go to 10 gallons per batch.

I went ahead with this and it became my first brew in the newly minted kegerator. It is AMAZING! If you've been thinking about Saaz in this Kolsch go for it!
Just for future reference the bottom left hand side above the compressor hump is prime real estate for drilling. Went carefully and drilled through after probing the initial hole and I now have my 15# tank sitting outside = more beer inside:mug:
