I bought 20 1 litre carbonated water bottles, the generic brand from the grocery store for $19 and they work perfectly.

I just wasn't sure if I should see the yeast trub now or if I should only see it when the yeast has eaten all the priming sugar and fell to the bottom.

I bottled a batch yesterday. A few minutes ago I looked at a few bottles and I see trub at the bottom. It reached its FG after a week in primary, but it stayed in primary for 5 weeks total as I did not have time to bottle it. I don't think that matters though. Is this trub I see yeast? Should...

It wasn't stainless or anything. It'd rust just from being in the atmosphere and the metal was not new and was no where near sanitary or food grade for sure. And it weighs about 7 or 8 pounds. If you would had seen the inside of it before it was painted, trust me, you wouldn't think twice about...
