    Gasket for Nitrogen tank?

I think the above poster is confusing the co2 and nitrogen thread. You will need the plastic/fiber washer between the regulator and adapter. If it's leaking between the adapter and the tank it's possible the inside cone shaped area of the tank is slightly damaged. There are soft nose and hard...

    StarSan Film

Starsan will get cloudy from minerals in the water. If it's left long enough it will precipitate the minerals out of solution and create a white slime. Either use distilled water or don't leave it sitting so long. Use some barkeepers friend and a carboy brush to remove it.

    Vintage Kegerator Options

It's hard to see from the pics but the box thing is the start relay. Don't remove it. It's a mechanical switch that kicks tge compressor on. You won't have continuity on one of the wires until the relay kicks the power to the third wire. It is hard to see but there should be one wire going to...

Stout: Black Patent vs unmalted Black barley

The difference is one is malted the other is not. Muntons roasted barley is made from unmalted barley. Plack patent is made from malted barley.

Did starch really convert or is my gravity made up of starch weight

I'm pretty sure a hydrometer can only measure water soluable matter. I don't think starch is soluable, so I don't think it will affect the readings.

Where not to buy co2 tanks

Also even if he did send a out of date steel tank who cares? You still need to get it filled, just bring it to a place that does swaps, pay for the full one and ask for an aluminum one. The local welding shops here don't seem to care.

Bsg will. They say they won't but they currently sell to kegerator.com which does NOT have a actual storefront and is online only.

    Brewing with maple sap?

I did this just to try it. I used it for all the water in the beer( mash and sparge) It gave almost no flavor to the beer. The sap actually contains minerals as well and really messed up my mash ph. It might come out better in a extract batch, but I would not mash with it again.

Permits to sell home brew ingredients online in California

You should not need any permits. If you have a resale certificate it should be fine. At least here all ingredients are considered food and non taxed so you should not have to collect any sales tax.

    Cleaning a "new" used keg

Co2 is fine in the fridge. You do NOT want it laying down. You can damage the regulator with liquid co2

    Frozen pipes before brew day..

Why are your pipes freezing? Can't you add some electric heat tape to the pipes or insulate them? If the pipes that are freezing are going to a faucet, leave it on a crack so there is a fast drip. It won't freeze easily when it's running.

    Black Pumpkin Ale

I have a recipe for a black pumpin beer, well it kinda 2 different beers same wort. But they taste very different. I named it Devils Night. I have won a few competition medals with it. It's all grain but I'm sure I can be converted. I do a 10 gallon batch and split it and use a belgian saison...

Main Grain Homebrew shop mysteriously closed in Mandeville, LA

If it has to do with the government, it most likely has to due with taxes. He should be able to just open up with a different name and business liscence.
