I noticed that a great percent of people use a valve on the pump egress as their throttle for RIMS tube flow rate. Sabco uses a valve on the rims tube egress to throttle RIMS tube flow.
I get the cons, explosions, etc. But I'm left wondering if there is a pro to having the valve upstream of...
I should have been more specific. I already have the 18" brewers hardware RIMS tube. I found that grainger has a 7.75" 240V 1500W Low density heater. Was just wondering if anyone found a longer one that may provide a lower watt density. Thank you. I'll keep looking around.

Hey folks, anyone using hosehead to control a RIMS tube? I cant find an element that is 220V and has low enough wattage so as to not scorch. Can you rewire the hosehead to run an element at 110v?

Not to hijack the thread but I believe its kind of relevant-
is the only difference between the td4 and ta4 manual mode? In my reading it seems that way. Therefore in a mash tun or HLT ta4 for cheaper may be a good option.

If you set the brewpi devices to not-inverted do the lights turn off? My SSR's have +/- markings on them for the input side. The output side doesnt matter. its a switch.
