    Another lagunitas maximus... My shirron plate chiller was working great for the first 2 gallons but then I had all sorts of problems... I think it's related to my pickup in the kettle, but the chiller might have been plugged up with hops (pellet). Any recommendations /people who have had...

    Well, on to brewing my mosaic pale ale that I hadn't planned on brewing today because of the aforementioned mishap, 30 minutes left in the boil, all was not lost today.     Mother f, I'm such an idiot... Got everything out for first brew day of the year, heating strike water, and discovered this.... Luckily I have a second batch milled and ready to go, I guess this is a sign i need to order a grain mill. At least I caught this before I added the strike water!

    Made a stop to the Indian Grocery during lunch today, had to pick up more Basmati and Red Chillies, figured while I was there I'd pick up some eggplant and tomatoes for Baingan Bharta.

    I'll add that you can also go to Menards and pick up a set of fire-bricks for $14, makes a 13.5 x 18" cooking surface. Preheats these bad boys and you're good to go.

    Toasted sesame seeds to make tahini, all I had in the pantry was a can of black beans. Black bean hummus with lemon juice, Cumin, salt, tahini and a bit of cayenne, them made spinach black bean hummus wraps. I think someone is volunteering to do a taste test!

    I always do 1-3 days from now on for the dough, then get the dough out first thing the morning you're making pizza or the night before to let it do its final rise and get up to temp, you won't regret it!
