I am planning an imperial stout and I am looking for a higher ABV than my all grain system will allow, so I am planning on supplementing with extract. Should I increase the amount of specialty grains to compensate for the extract? I plan to treat the the extract as a comparable amount of the...
I got mine today and miraculously my big box store (Lowes) got in a shipment of O2 cylinders for the first time in four months.
I don't always want to use it on my conical, but I guess I can connect a carbonation cap to the ball lock disconnect, and then connect that to a wand.
I have been looking for these oxygen canisters for the past three months in anticipation of the release ot this device. None of the big box store stores in my area have them judging by their online inventory. I found the last one they had at a mom and pop hardware store. I went ahead and...
I received a shipment of Phantasm powder. probably a year's supply. Is it ok to freeze it? I assume that since it is freeze-dried, the answer would be yes. It is stored in nitrogen now and I will be using mylar bags after it is open.
Thanks, I had already ordered that exact model from Amazon. They just arrived. They do not feel like they fit as tight as the syringe, but they work and do not appear to leak.
I have an Anton Parr Easydens. I have lost the lure cone to drain device. I checked the Anton Parr site and they have replacements for $10, but shipping from Europe is $30. Does anyone know a US supplier? I see parts that look like they may work but I am not sure if they will fit properly.
To answer my own question, the BrewMometer hole plugs do fit the sight gauge holes. I guess it kind of figures that they would only use one size of hole.
I never use the sight gauge on my Blickmann Boilermaker and want to remove it. Does anyone know if the BrewMometer Hole Plug is the right size for the holes? If not, what size plug do I need?
I tried recently and ended up cracking my lid. i don't think my hole was perfectly round and I think a gasket would help if you can find one. Don't try to force it too much.
