    New to Electric

That's pretty much the plan. Maybe I need to look into biab more. As for an idea setup, I don't really know. The three kettle on a brew stand would be great once I buy a bigger house but for now I am limited to my small condo. I don't want batches larger then five gallons so I can have...

    New to Electric

Number one got reformatted and I forgot to add a question, so second is first. As I am without a pot currently, do you have recommendations? I like the ones with a thermometer and valve. I agree, a removable element would be great, ill look into that.

    New to Electric

So, one of my biggest limitations in brewing has always been lack of a proper heat source. I live in a condo on the third floor so going outdoors with a propane burner is not really an option. Now that electric brewing is a thing (I’ve been out of brewing for a bit), I have questions...

    Re-using yeast in my fermentor

I tried search and couldn't find an answer. I have a cream fermenting now on us-05, I want to try a different cream that takes that same yeast. Can I pull the current batch off that yeast and dump the next one on top of it? Do I have to do anything to it before using it again? Until now I...

    My first All Grain batch

I have done a couple partial mash brews, and wanted to try all grain, but live in an apartment and have a wimpy stove top. I would buy a Braumeister but don't have 220 and I don't want to run a turkey fryer 20 feet out in my drive way. For my mash tun, I used a true brew 6 ish gallon bucket...

doing first all grain batch and a little low, 1.030 instead of 1.045

Ok, update. I finished my boil, chilled to 80, siphoned to my primary bucket and I ended up with 2 gallons at 1.050 but it is way darker than I wanted it to be. Can I add some water to bring it 1.045 or just leave it as is and enjoy a gallon less?

doing first all grain batch and a little low, 1.030 instead of 1.045

Can i use the bottling drops as extra sugar? starting boil now and have no dme, and homebrew store is closed. Is it a big deal being 1.030 instead of 1.045? brewing Cream of three crops.

    Keezer and/or Kegerator

I have a 7 cf keezer that I am using to keep the fermenting at temperature and I am trying to decide if I should buy another freezer to put kegs in, or buy a refrigerator to put the kegs in, or just collar my keezer and ferment at room temp. I saw Yambor44's video's and his refrigerator setup...

    Krausen Explosion sorta

Was going to use a gallon spring water bottle, not a gallon of vodka :) on a side note, it calmed down a bit, not spitting anymore, just bubbeling away. I love making beer.
