Oh and let me preface this by saying I'm not trolling and I do own many leather bound books and my house smells of rich mahogany but1 question:
Why is this recipe not in the fruit beer category?
Brewed this a month and a half ago. IMHO ...do not add the limeade. It is very hard for me to drink a whole pint of. I brewed 5 gallons all grain and still have a good amount left. This was not the beer for me. The limeade i felt almost gave it a salty taste.
I get where your coming from. I use to hate clear beer bc when it got real clear that usually meant 1 thing- close to the bottom of the keg. But I have found over the years I now want to make real clear beer bc now rip on me if I'm outta my head but........**** LOOKS GOOD ALL CLEAR AND SPARKLY...
Thanks. I seem to like the taste of the Gambrinus and by taste i mean just eating kernels.. I dunno if it's a bad habit or I'm just a fat guy but i enjoy trying a little malt here and there for potential flavors of specialty malta
So i just started buying 2 row in 25 kilo bags of gambrinus and was wondering f you guys have experimented with the stock grain of all our brews..Breiss, great wetern.. figure if theres anywhere somebody could debate the smallest detals and obsess over them it's be here. I dont got any problems...
So after dryhopping with leaf hops 2oz and adding 5tsp yeast energizer a week later my beer looks like this and has a nice pellicle. Problem is its a pale ale. Anyone had anything like this before? I kegged it and am drinking it now. A milk off flavor but not bad....it cant get anyone sick right
Well I want to control temp in BK ,HLT, and MT with a possibility of a RIMS system. Another really cool feature I think would be is to install a flow meter for volumes of water. It would have to be like a manifold with solenoid valves or something to be able to measure runnings and mash/boil...
