My primary is in a carboy so it's hard to scoop the yeast out. I was going to repitch onto the cake of what's in my primary this weekend. However, I was wondering if the old cold break proteins will have any ill effect on the new beer.
I'd probably add the 1oz at the beginning as you don't want to lose the bittering effect. I would also add the other oz. maybe 1/2 at 20 and 1/2 at 5?
If you can, I may look up and see what other hops would compliment the hops you already have and get some from your LHBS. Or just go there and...
Whoo hoo!
This is exciting.
Just checked and seems like my broken cane and picnic tap will work pretty perfect for this. :)

However, I wasn't quite as patient as you. I force carbed and was drinking in less than 24 hours. It is better now, a week later. :)
I went through this same dilemma last week. After reading 300 or so threads (yea I'm a little OCD), I made a conclusion that the SQ-14 was the best choice for me. It is very sturdy without modification. Its not the bestest most powerful burner but it's powerful enough and I like that it doesn't...
Brewed this yesterday. I also subbed in the Amarillo.
Had a few hiccups but in the end, I got about 5.75-6 gallons. I was worried I had too much but then after seeing how much cold break I had, I hope to end up with 5 gallons in the end.
I just set mine up and am at 10Psi in the kegerator. Porter seems to be pouring great.. it's actually a little low on the foam. I use the creamer faucet to add a little extra head. I have 8' lines running in there so that may be part of it. . .
I'm thinking about running to 12psi just to see...
