Hiya
I am having a hard time sourcing these. Right now I need the tri-clover part to conform to KF-25, or about 1" ID and 1.5" on the outer rim. Everyone I find is made to withstand 3500psi and 3000k etc, but I just wanna brew beer!
Where do you guys get yours?
[Also: I am aware I can...
I think I'm going to buy my probes right from Omega. I have one RTD that I got from The Electric Brewery as a kit (Thanks Kal!). For fermentation, mainly I think I will use type T thermocouples for their accuracy and speed.
Anyone got any solenoid valves..?
Hi there
Looking to make a (very) small electric automated brewing system as a prototype for one I can only afford later on in life. I like gadgets, even if not strictly necessary.
As far as the build itself, it will be mostly computer controlled via LabView with some manual switches...
Thanks for the reply. I was planning backflushing, so I am not planning on completely getting rid of 100% of all particulates, however I don't want to irreversably damage my plate chiller, especially while I am using it.
So perhaps something a little smaller than 30x30 sounds like it would...
This is really a followup to this thread, and thought this might help others as well doing similar projects.
i am making a huge hop stopper, just two sheets of mesh around a dip tube in my keggle. It's going to just be a 12"24" piece folded in half, so no circles or fancy octagons for me...
So here's the deal. I did some searching, and I think that 50x240 will be too fine and will get clogged. Check out thisthread. This guy is using 30x30 threaded mesh and for a CFC it is fine, but for a plate chiller it is not fine enough. However, he goes on to say that others with a 60x40 are...
How precisely did you pick out the mesh size? It seems that most people use 30x30, and the one on McMaster is 50x240 and is rated at "superfine" - I feel like this is probably small enough, but if it becomes too small does clogging become an issue?
Thanks for the reply! Do you think 6" is long enough for the nipple? Since the screen would cover most of the bottom I would want it to extend right to the middle. I just measured my keggle, and it seems that the center is 8" from the inner edge. The nipple is 6" including threads, so after...
First of all, I haven't brewed in six months and am getting antsy. I'm converting to all-grain from extract, and have taken my time to research thoroughly so I can make the correct decisions and minimize mistakes. Subsequently, I have a full table of high grade SS goodies, including about a...
So any thoughts on some barbs that come as-is and do not require grinding? like these;

So... which one of the types from proflodynamics should I get there seems to be a lot.
Also, and i know this is off topic a bit, but I am looking to get some full-bore high-flow barbs and so far the best source seems to be brewer's hardware at $10 a pop, which seems kinda high (this is for...
Hi there
First: I am looking for stainless, I know McMaster has Brass sets for $10. Second, I did search rather thoroughly before posting this.
I have a march pump and want to attach quick disconnects to both ends, at least temporarily (don't have a rig, the pump will just be sitting...
