    For a 5 gal boil I personally think your in for a blast of orange flavor. You could dry hop an ounce of bitter/sweet. (Sterilize in vodka). I think the coriander amount is too high, I've heard it can be overpowering if over used.

    I tossed it all in, I used 1/2 oz sweet and 1/2 oz bitter orange peel along with 1/3 oz coriander to the boil. I didn't go bananas on the crush of the seeds just enough to crack'em up.

    So I've tried online website calculators, home made calculators and Beersmith 2.0. They all give different water amounts when all the info is plugged in exactly the same. Weather it's strike water, sparge water, or pre-boil volume. Can anyone show me the long way of finding the total water...

    My readings: I didn't take a reading from my pre-pitched wort. I realized the mistake after I had pitched my yeast. So I took a few drops from my bottling bucket I used to drain the wort from my kettle in.

    All Grain Woes

    I agree. I just started AG an the first one I made was pre-designed and my brew day went great. My own design was .020 under target OG. With a lot of negligent mistakes on my part of course. I say find a recipe that is proven. Cheers!
