Does anyone have any feedback on these? I'm about to try soldering some 1.5" and 2" ferrules myself...

    Another "what should I buy"

Does midwest sell chugger's? I thought they only had the March pumps for sale. Anyway, I agree with maida in going larger if you're looking for 10 gallon batches. I think you could go 15gal all around, and be alright. Although the 20gallon bk wouldn't hurt. Personally, I'd skip the false...

Three vessel e-keggle bottom drain herms pics

If its listed for use in a water heater it should be safe right? Since water heaters are food safe?

Makes a lot of sense. Sounds like a really fun setup. Wish I had the space!

Virginia Custom All Grain Brewing Setup

If you decide to part it out (I can't do gas, nor do I have the room for that monster!) let me know, I'd be interested in 1 (maybe both) pumps, and almost certainly that mash tun. Your setup looks great btw. Did you just do direct fire on the MLT with recirculation? Or do you have a RIMS tube in...

Trading my electric brewery with my dryer

If its PID controlled just get a PID that has a manual mode, and 'dial' it from there IMO. Edit: Is anyone else getting a 403 error on P-J's site? I can't seem to get to it from here.

Smallest, cheapest electric rig possible for 1 gallon

I would think induction is a good call. 1800watt burners would be more then enough, you could get like a pid and probe if you wanted, but after a few batches I think you could dial in your temps pretty well. With only 1-4lbs of grain why not BIAB. I can't think of how a multi vessel system...

    simple electric set up?

I dont understand your post really. You normally do 10 gallon batches, but you don't already have a 3 vessel system? I guess I don't understand this part: What gear do you already have OP, and what is your end state goal? Do you do all grain, partial mash, extract? I see 10 Gallons as a...

Ohio 1/2" Dixon Sanitary Tri-Clamp Encapsulated Ball Valves

Hey hafmpty, thanks for that link! I found it very helpful. Unfortunately I don't have any 1/2" stuff, what advantages are there to the smaller ports? I figured with as cheap as the 1" / 1.5" stuff is I'd pretty much use those exclusively. Either way, bump for sharing good resources!

    Induction

1500 watts would be enough to maintain mash temp yea? especially if you mashed a bit thinner? Think scorching would be any issue?

    Dual input, 4 element question

Oh yea, if you can stretch out the duty cycle that long that'd be pretty neat! Why don't people do this with HERMS? Seems like it would be preferable because you could then set your HLT PID to your sparge temp, and actually have that water ready to go when the mash is done.

What do you put your ekettles on?

Awesome link, I just purchased one. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Fitting temperature probe into bigger Tee fitting

I would highly recommend this. The 1/2" would be a direct plug in, and the 1/4" would at least fit. And, the NPT probes are cheaper! If you don't/won't exchange it, then this plug is what you'll want to buy, and then drill and tap it to m14x1.5 If you go the drill/tap route please keep us...
