    AHS extract Arrogant Bastard clone

Now for an update. This is the second ever batch that I've kegged (first was a week before this one - AHS Anniversary Wit). It's been in the keg for about a week, so it's not completely carbed yet, but aside from that, it has a distinct alcohol taste to it. Within the first day or two of...

    First brew NB Caribou Slobber

    I used dry.

    AHS extract Arrogant Bastard clone

I bought the Arrogant Bastard clone kit a few weeks ago along with a few items to assist in making starters for future heavy beers. I didn't realize it when I ordered, but apparently it's not normal to make a starter using dry yeast. I read several threads on this site and decided that I would...

    1st 2 kits ever...NB

I brewed the American Wheat kit over the summer. When I bottled it, I added 1 ml blackberry flavoring to 18 bottles, 1 ml peach flavoring to 18 bottles, then bottled the rest "plain". I liked both of the flavored beers, but I didn't care too much for the plain one. My friends said they liked...

    First brew NB Caribou Slobber

Mine was fully carbed after 1 week in the bottle, so you should chill one and open it up. As a side note, I've "tested" every one of my 5 brews at the 1 week mark...for science.

    Kegconnection.com - Black Friday AD!

That's a good point - I didn't comment on the packing because I took it for granted. Everything was securely bubble wrapped and separated to prevent damage. Nice job by Anthony (I'm assuming)!

    Raspberry liquid left over Q...

I brewed American Wheat Beer Extract Kit : Northern Brewer over the summer and added peach to half and blackberry to the other half. I liked it, as did my wife.

Leave Caribou Slobber in Primary or Transfer

I recently brewed the CS kit. I was too lazy to transfer to secondary, so I left it in the primary for an extra week or so. It was in the primary for 23 days prior to bottling and was fully carbonated 7 days later. Mine has a somewhat dry finish in your mouth. I'm not sure if this is typical...

    IPA extract recipe please

Enjoy it! Like I said in my previous post, this was my first brew. I had to wait a little extra time (say 4 week bottle conditioning) because the first few I opened were under carbonated and tasted a little sweet. I may have done something "wrong", but just a heads up...if it's not perfect at...

    IPA extract recipe please

+1 for Dead Ringer. This was my very first brew and it turned out great. I still have 4 bottles left and I can't wait to open them in the coming weeks when they hit 6 months of age.

    Kegconnection.com - Black Friday AD!

I placed my order Thursday night, sent and email about a concern I had Friday morning, received a response from Nanette within a couple hours, who forwarded my concern to Ben and Anthony. Anthony emailed back within two hours and said everything was all set, and I received a tracking number on...

    fridge seals/gaskets

I just bought an old mini fridge for $25 off Craigslist today. The gasket is pretty beat, so this website looks to be exactly what I need. I'd +1 you if that was an option! :mug:

Basement Bar Build: Unfinish to refinish

I also "unfinished" my basement. The people who finished it didn't do anything right (carpet directly on the concrete, batt insulation directly on the block walls, etc), so I took everything apart. I have yet to refinish it, though. I can't wait to see how yours turns out!

    Keezer build

You did a nice job keeping it simple while still making it look really good. Enjoy!

    IPA recipe...looking for opinions

I just wanted to provide an update for those who helped me formulate my recipe. I bottled this a few weeks ago, and it is drinkable at this point. I'm not real good with the technical reviews of things, but in my opinion, it turned out pretty well. It's definitely hoppy with plenty of aroma...
