I've got a ton of kegs, 16 or so. Some get the opening compromised (dented, out of true round, etc) by their hard life of getting knocked around. That is the usual culprit. And a little keg lube does the trick.
Bingo. That's my set up exactly. The beveled washer solution I describe above has been leak free. Slide the washer over the tailpiece so the beveled side seals the shank and tighten down. Actually, more descriptive would be slide the tailpiece through the beveled washer.
Where were these...
Any lasting effects of cider in a tap line? Is it like homemade root beer? Once it is in there that line isn't good for beer any longer due to the residual flavors left in the lines?
How did the beer turnout with the "older" clear syrup? I have some clear too that is prob 2 years old. I wonder if it oxidizes? Mine has yellowed a bit visibly.
I'm almost done with my first keg served on Nitro. The first half of the keg poured great.
Over the last two weeks though. Glasses pour almost all foam. I'm pretty sure that since my fridge that runs too cold (diff issue) is causing the beer to absorb too much cO2.
Anyone else have this...
I'm trying to determine if this is expected or if I need to troubleshoot. And from your response - could it be the regulator. It sux having to wait between pours.
