    lets see your full Fermenters

Yup! I call it the Blonde Experiment. The control (base recipe) is in the growlers. Top right has a quart of beet juice from freshly juiced beets along with some of the juice cooked down to a syrup. My wife and a few friends really liked Magic Hat Wacko and were sad they don't make it anymore...

That's the temp probe that goes through the fridge wall to a johnson controls temp controller. I've found the best way to keep everything at the temp I want is to tape the probe to the side of the container with bubble wrap on one side. Reads the temp great.

Thanks dude, and thanks for the good info on your site. It's been very helpful to a noob like me. That was the original idea but at the time of brewing I didn't have a temp controller, so I used WLP001 California Ale yeast instead of WLP810 the California Common yeast. Next time I will be able...

Was going to brew this weekend, but......

Same here, I'm screwed if power goes out and sump pumps stop. Back up plan is to somehow use the auto siphon :) Coming down good now but wind isn't bad yet so that is good. I know :off: sorry.

    Redundancy

Of course! One broken item could ruin your brew or bottling day. I got a brix refractometer on ebay cheap in case the hydro breaks, I usually have 3 different thermometers in use because I don't trust them. :) And I have been bottling half a batch and kegging the rest, if the capper would ever...

Just cracked my 1st 2 HB beers

Oh, I didn't know that! I'm fermenting blood orange hefe right now and it has an awesome banana aroma coming out. I do like the clove taste in my hefe's though so may need to try this one again at a lower temp. Thanks for the info.

I may have to give it a try, worried about temps going up and down a lot though. Absolutely! planned for batch #4, would have been #3 but I want the pumpkin to age a bit before the holidays
