Small batches for me are 5 gal. The grainfather rocks for that!

I had a overheating /melting issue with my first one and they sent me a new one. I now strap a computer fan on the side of the controller where the cooling vents are. No issues since - even with 90 minute step mashes.

I second the others to dropping the secondary. A secondary goes against all that a neipa is (fresh hop character and suspended stuff that would be lost moving to secondary).

I compost it in the garden. I had killer tomatoes last year. It really helps to aerate / loosen the soil too.

I have one. I’d say 6-7 gallons. It is a very long cooling coil that extends way beyond the thermowell.

With a tower, you need to pull the freezer away from the wall to add and remove kegs. I am in this situation and it is a pain without wheels.

You must be getting a clogged filter. Next time, run it without the rubber end cap on the filter and you shouldnt clog. I havn’t had that problem. My main issue has been how long it takes to get to a weak boil. Overall, I’m not happy either. I think it is priced $500 too high. I bought...
