    IPA Basics?

Gotcha, i'll plan on switching the Simcoe and Amarillo hop implementation of this recipe. This will bump up the IBU's a little, to around 60 which I think should still be fine. Thank you all for your help. I truly appreciate it.

    IPA Basics?

Awesome! you guys Rock! so helpful... again, much appreciated. So hopwise, i'm thinking: 1oz Amarillo 60min 1oz Sincoe 15min 1oz Cascade 5min 1oz Cascade post-boil (60min) 1oz Willamette dry hop in secondary 7 days... According to hopville this puts me at 50.2 IBUs. How does that sound?

    IPA Basics?

@Tippetsnapper, Thanks for the reply and yes that helped out a lot. I appreciate it. @Bobbrews, I like a decently Hoppy IPA, I have had the dogfish head 60 minute IPA and really enjoyed it. I know my first IPA will probably not be as good as that but I would like it to have a good hop kick to...

Hey Everyone! I'm looking at brewing a grain/malt IPA. This is the first IPA I will be making so i'm not exactly sure where to start on this. I would like to try dry hopping for the first time as well. All of my previous brews were made from ingredient kits which were fine but I really want to...

Any tips for a first timer?

Hey everyone! I recently just bought my first home brew kit off of Midwest supplies. I chose to do an amber ale for my first brew and I have never done this before. Obviously I know to follow the instructions and it should come out just fine but I was wondering if anyone had any tips that would...
