    A memorial beer for GreenwoodRover?

Hi everyone, I just wanted to pop in to thank you for your continued support. The sheer number of you that are brewing up the Greenwood Rover memorial beer is touching, and so appreciated. Kevin would have been incredibly honored. Your contributions to the memorial trust set up for my...

Sad news for all of us from GreenwoodRover's family

Hi All, We have all been amazed at the support and kindness that has come from this board. Like I said before - this group meant a lot to Kev. He started quite a few sentences with, "...the guys on the brewboard." He felt like he knew you. Words cannot express how touched I am by all you...

    A memorial beer for GreenwoodRover?

All, We are so incredibly touched by your thoughtfulness and generosity. Kevin's brother, Mike (Uncle Mike) posted as well, and would like to also be included in any of your plans. It's been mentioned repeatedly that Kevin touched the lives of people he didn't even know, and I am honored...

    A memorial beer for GreenwoodRover?

I guess to answer you questions - I am Kevin's wife, I do exist, and I do know that this board was an important part of his hobby. Reading your posts has let me into this part of his life. I don't know if he ever spoke of me or our boys, but I assure you, we heard quite a bit about you, and...

Sad news for all of us from GreenwoodRover's family

Hi all, You continue to touch my heart with your kind words. I have to admit to giving Kev some grief about brewing, and the time he spent on here - but he was passionate about his brewing, and talked about the "brew board" so often. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives. More...

Sad news for all of us from GreenwoodRover's family

My husband, Kevin, frequented this website and spoke of the "beer board" often. When I went to the computer today this was the first site that remained open. Yesterday, while at a family friend's cottage, Kevin collapsed next to the pool, and they were unable to bring him back. They tried CPR...

When is it appropriate to filter wort?

To filter on not post boil is a 6 of one half dozen of another kind of thing. Often if I'm feeling lazy it all goes into primary and then it falls out and I rack around it into the keg or bottling bucket. Sometimes I whirlpool my wort and siphon it to the fermentor.

    To Buy...Or Not To Buy

If it's the half barrell size Danby I think it can be converted to a 3 tap set-up if you're using corny kegs. You'll just need to drill the tower and add the lines and faucets. Search for EdWort's kegerator in the "Show us your Kegerator" thread...

    Need advice Now!!!

Yikes.... Did you calc your IBU's for 90min boil? There are a lot of variables at play.... How much do you usually boil off in the 90min boil? Whats your burner size? I'd just split the difference, make a slightly larger volume the slightly longer boil will add additional bitterness so...
