I wanted to thank FuzzeWuzze and Elco. Great controller. I used and old external CD case I had laying around. Worked out well with little modification. It has a built in power supply which I was able to use.
I want to say thanks for a great thread. I have a question about shutting down raspberry. Should I do sudo shutdown command when I need to shutdown my brewpi to say move the controller?

My STC-1000 controller died before I ever used it. In lurking around eBay I ran across a Omegalux Temperature controller (Model CN-TOT-175JF-120V). In looking at their web site it is only for heating with a 5 degree differential set point, 15 amps and J type thermocouple.
