    Bourbon porter

Brewed a porter. Its in secondary currently. Soaked some charred oak cubes in bourbon. Recipe says to add both the oak and bourbon to the secondary. There is a lot of bourbon not soaked in. Thoughts?

    1st Time Kegging

Cool. Do you wait to chill the beer before starting carbonation or just start assuming it will chill as it goes?

    1st Time Kegging

I'm getting ready to keg for the 1st time. Ive read many methods of transferring from the fermenter to the keg. I was planning on racking right into the keg then closing it up, sealing it up and chilling overnight before carbonating. I just read about filling with sanitizer, forcing it out...

    Bad yeast?

Just the pack. Based on a few things decided not needed. I've never had a batch not start fermenting.

    Bad yeast?

    Bad yeast?

I brewed a milk stout yesterday with no problems. Pitched a WL English ale yeast that looked a little suspicious. It had slightly separated. Almost 24 hours later no activity at all...no bubbling and no krausen. Is it possible to grab more yeast and try pitching it again?

    Depth Charge

Has anyone used the Big Mouth Bubbler Depth Charge setup for dry hopping? If so, when did you attach it...at the beginning of secondary after racking it from primary or later in the secondary when getting ready to dry hop?

    Wort Challenge

How long would you reboil for in order to add more hops...the full 60 minutes or less?

    Wort Challenge

The provided wort will be just below 30 IBU'S and each group will be assigned 3-4 hops to use anyway they want.

    Wort Challenge

Yes. They are making a NE IPA wort and we will be broken into groups that are assigned specific hops to use. We will bring our final product back 2 months after.

    Wort Challenge

My local brewery is having a competition soon where we pick up 5 gallons of wort they have made that day and then we do with it what we want. I've never does this before. My question is when I get it home how do I start? Do I reboil it for 60 minutes so I can additional hops? Do I add...
