    Taking a gravity reading after 2 weeks of fermenting..what is the best way?

    As it says in the title, my brew has been frementing for almost 2 weeks. When I go to take the gravity readings on consecutive days, what is the best way to do that without messing with the brew? Should I just dip the sanitized hydrometer into the fermenting bucket? Or should I take a sample...

    Maybe thats the case. The directions told me to only stir the wort with the top off water once or twice, so I didn't want to over stir it. Hopefully it all works out!
