My 34 point black IPA managed mini BOS round hopefully your 41 did as well?
I managed to get to mini BOS with a pumpkin lager and scored a second with my Hef in San Diego
The original idea was to essentially make tea with beer instead of water but if I just toss it in the beer I couldn't figure out how long to steep to get flavor but no bitterness, and if that will infect the batch doing it that way.
I have enough tea to make a full 5 gallons. Want to steer...
I made up a recipe for a green tea imperial pilsner and am sitting here staring at all my ingredients and I just realized I have no idea how I am going to make what worked perfectly in my head a reality.
Here is the process I was imagining

I generally just use a temp correction chart to figure gravity after taking a sample from the first runnings. I am always sure to stir my grain up as I dough in every 20 or so minutes during the initial mash and once or twice after adding sparge water.
I lose about a gallon or wort due to my...

You could be getting air in your line because the hose to the racking cane fit isn't snug enough and as the beer moves through its sucking in air. I was getting mini bubbles in mine so I stopped disconnecting my line from my racking cane.
The only other thing I could think of is that when you...
I use one can of Oregon puree in my peach honey hefeweizen and it gets a lot of good reviews, its enough that you can taste the fruit but it doesn't really become the highlight of the beer. So its really going to depend on if you want a fruit forward beer, or a beer with a little bit of fruit...
