Hey All,
I am looking to sell my electric HERMS brewing system that is a hybrid clone of Kals. With a new baby and new house I just dont have the space and time for this system anymore. I built it about 2 years ago and the vessels are very much a clone of Kals but I had the control panel...
Thanks for the info. I have been trying to nail down a good routine for the plate chiller and you guys gave me some good starting points. Think I will be picking this up for my next purchase.
Thanks. Sounds like a good system you have going, I would love to see a pic.
Do you use the standard filter with it or do you have one of the smaller additional filters?
I have an electric system in my basement that currently uses a hop filter that is in the kettle. I have had varying degrees of success with it but have not been completely satisfied with it's performance. I am thinking of picking up one of the Brewers Hardware Trub Filters to use with it...
I'm looking at upgrading my system to include and oxygen tank for wort aeration. I really wanted to get a medical O2 tank with regulator so I could control the flow by LPMs but supposedly you need a Rx to fill those Has anyone seen a regulator that you can adjust the LPMs for the disposable...
Thats exactly the problem I am having.
...and a question I have with copper is that I plan on using 2 compression fittings to mount it on the inside sidewall of the kettle much like Kal did with his electric brewery. Will compression fittings just bend the soft copper or will I be able to...
So I am well on my way to finishing my E-HERMS build and one of my last things is my HERMS coil. I had originally planned for 50' of 1/2 Stainless Steel tubing and having it coiled locally. After getting 50' of kinked stainless tubing back from the shop and finding out post fact that they...
I have just been playing around with the program now that it's on mac and have been noticing some big differences with the yeast starter calculations compared to Mr. Malty calculations.
I am at work so going off what I can remember a 1.050 beer with a yeast starter using a stirplate the...
Brew timer looks pretty cool from what the website says. I'm gonna have to check to see how it transfers to the ipad.
Great idea with the workout timers too. I will keep looking but if you ever find out the name of it let me know.
Thanks!
I am looking for my iPad that is a timer that I can set to go off for all my additions during the boil. Doesn't necessarily have to be a brew program as I use my laptop to store all my recipes. Anyone have a timer program or heard of any that would work for that?
I have been searching for a bit through all the online supply shops trying to find a March Pump with the poly head that had the 3/4" center inlet and 1/2" ouput. I have only seen the side by side 1/2" inlets but no luck for what I am looking for. Any ideas where to try to pick one of these up...
Thanks for the link. I am pretty much doing a Kal inspired build with a few changes and I just wanted to see if there were other options for inlines. I am leaning towards that fan though.
I am finishing off the basement and decided to put in an electric brewery down there. I will be having the venting installer build me a rectangular hood out of galvanized steel with 6" vent tubing leading to the exhaust port. I need an inline fan that will handle 5 and the occational 10 gallon...
