NA IPA Beer attempt tomorrow. Any suggestions?

Tomorrow I'm brewing with a friend who has been sober for many years but still appreciates IBU's. I thought I would brew a IPA. ferment it and boil the alcohol away from half to get him some NA IPA. This process seems like it will allow that "Beer taste" to be created rather than attempting to...

St. Patty's Swamp Water (green beer thread)

I made a recipe for a St. Patricks day Light Lager that I never ended up brewing that used Blue corn in hopes of creating green beer. I think you've inspired me to try it for next year!

A wonderful day to brew in MN..

1.037 9.6%ABV I ended DHing it with some Cascade. I would have liked to see it come out a little stronger alcohol wise (probably mash a tad lower/bigger starter), yet it is very nice to drink; sweet smelling with a very complex middle and finishing with a tiny bite from the alcohol and darker...

A wonderful day to brew in MN..

Totally agree I feel like Wayne's World "we're not worthy", but gotta start somewhere. This is my first crack at this recipe I wasn't able to hit the SG so I added 1# Light DME and got it up there. The SRM wasn't what I had expected either so next time I'm going to need to add more color...

As far a fining, I'm going to try gelatin I really want this to turn out clear... Besides filtering have you used any finings to clear up your homebrew?

Help with my IPA! Many questions.

Oak then dry hop for <week, is it bad to oak and DH at the same time? Also, I used only Cascade in the boil should I dry hop with it also? I love Cascade I think it smells outstanding.

Help with my IPA! Many questions.

Last week I brewed a 10 gallon batch of Imperial IPA and pitched into two separate fermenters one fermenting with WL001, one with WL007 making starters for both. Got to use my new mash tun:ban:, here are a couple of pics from the brewing. I was able to control the temp very well by keeping it...

    Lagunitas IPA Clone

Last week I had the pleasure of drinking some at a local eatery. So far I've enjoyed every Lagunitas beer I've drank; Lil Sumpin Wild (my first), Lil Sumpin Sumpin, IPA, and Pils. I have a bottle of Hop Stoopid in my cellar that I'm sure I will enjoy! There are so many recipes I'd like to...
