    brew making playlist?!?

I'll just put on one of my itunes playlists. Last time was my summer playlist with Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews, Allman Brothers, Steely Dan, RHCP, the Bamboos, and various other 90's bands. Pretty much anything that will keep me relaxed will do.

Transporting fermenting beer (in secondary) by car

Alright, thanks guys. I'll try and get it bottled before then, but there's no definite way for me to tell if I'll be able to right now.

Transporting fermenting beer (in secondary) by car

So it will be bad in theory, for sure. But realistically, will my beer be undrinkable if I drive it in the fermenter to school? I mean, time fixes all things and rdwhahb, right?

Transporting fermenting beer (in secondary) by car

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but I've got a similar problem. I move back to school (about a 2 hour drive) in two weeks and my stout will have been in the primary for 3 weeks at this point. I can't bottle because they are already full and I'm going to be kegging when I get to school...

Budweiser changes the color of its can....

Trying...to...resist...buying....4 cases...but...I just....can't....beat...them. Too...powerful. Now that that's over, I think I'll go for a 312. All that evil empire business really works up a thirst.

    Who is brewing right now?

Just set the 60 minute timer on my second brew, the Irish Stout from NB. It smells fantastic and I successfully avoided my first boil over. I'm really looking forward to drinking this one when I get back to school.

Worst Commercial Beer You've Ever Had?

Definitely Boxer. I shouldn't have to say anything further. It is without a doubt the worst of the worst of "beers."

    Gateway Beer

Ever since I started drinking Keystones at my friend's house in high school, I've wanted something better, so I started drinking a little bit better beer: Guinness, Killians, Heineken, etc. But what really got me excited for drinking great beer was actually Leinenkugels, which I let me know that...

    St Arnold Brewery tour

St. Arnolds is awesome. I went down to visit my sister in Houston a few years ago and went to the brewery because a friend of ours was working there tapping kegs (he still works there but I'm not sure what exactly he's doing now) so we got the "real" tour of the place. It was awesome for me...

    Brewery names--what's your story?

"Purple Valley Brewing Co." This name is a homage to the "purple valley," which is what Indiana is referred to as with regards to my fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta. We have 8 chapters and 1 colony in the state as well as some of the oldest chapters in the nation, as well as the oldest continually...
