    Gigawort

I too would like to use this for BIAB. Thoughts on that: It says it will hold 4.5 gallons of liquid so you would have to do calculations on how much water you would have to take out in relation to the grains put in (grain absorption). If there not enough room for the grain to get your...

A photo story - Colorado Basement Brewery

I did something similar and found that there are different types of plastic from different manufacturers. Some are more brittle and some more flexible.

A photo story - Colorado Basement Brewery

All I can say is bravo! Quick thought on the 4 gang 30a outlet cover. Just head to an electrical supply house and pick up a box blank. Use a hole saw to drill size of the plug where ever u need it. Good luck with rest build keep us all posted please.

    Preserving and storing hops

i just got done reading an article "[BSHB] Preserving and Storing Hops" and enjoyed it as Brad posted it at the right time for me. I brewed a batch that required a few different hops all less than an oz and so I had left over hop pellets I didn't want to go to waist. After some other research...

    Mother of fermenter redesign thought

Was giving some serious thought to building a Mother of a Fermenter, during my research it came to me all we are really doing is building a old time Ice Box. If you look at the design of them you will see most put the ice section at the top of the box. This made it possible to use physics, fluid...

    2 BIAB bags

I'm a bit concerned about the physical size of the cooler at 5 gal I wouldn't think there would be enough room for all the grain and all the water, especially for a big beer. Any experience use just a 5 gal cooler?

    2 BIAB bags

10 gal pot. I just got done reading some of the threads bout 10 min mash it's crazy to think its possible but it's hard to argue with the results ... from many different people. I'm going to have to talk my self into doing it.

Just wanted to bounce this idea off you guys. I have two 5 gallon drink cooler my thought is to use them both for a BIAB split the grain bill and the water in half. Thought/idea is two fold first have enough room for all the water needed for the beer plus what's soaked up by the grains and...
