Funny enough, reading this, sitting at four peaks, drinking a Hop Knot, reading a thread about a beer I also made. It's pretty spot on after some time. Better to add more late hops and double the dry hop to get closer.
Going to be kegging 5 gallons of this tomorrow and bringing this to my fantasy football draft party on the 2nd. I can not wait to try this! If this is anywhere as tasty as my samples have been, it is going to be a hit! I'll report back fo sho.
Brewed this 3 months ago and I think it will be my first dumper:(. It is like syrup and undrinkable. I read another post about boiling cinnamon being the problem, any ideas? I even cut the spices by 75% still way too much in there. I'm gonna keep a few to try down the road but I don't have much...
I pulled my first pint tonight and it is great:ban:. I mashed at 156 so it turned to be almost not as beer-y, does that make sense? Almost like a sweet tasty drink, hard to describe. I think dryer would have been better in hind sight but it is very smooth and tasty. I minced mint leaves and...
In a couple days I am going to add my mint. I minced it and it has been soaking in vodka ever since. I check it today and it smells fantastic. I think I am just going to dump the whole thing in. I'll be drinking towards Thanksgiving so I will keep you updated on the brew and the life of the mint.
Yes, gas cooking in your kitchen is the least efficient there is. Even the expensive models don't perform as well as electric or induction in how fast they heat up and how hot they get. Sorry.

1st time kegging, I read for a week. Well I hope the pix turns out, I know you like them. I was giddy and in a great mood, 3 homebrews in when I got careless. I knocked my bucket off the counter top when I was getting ready to clean it. I...
Just start speaking in a made up language. I find a lot of elderly people are bigots and will instantly be turned off by an outsider. Either that or you will confuse the **** out of them.
I sell appliances and even the high end and very expensive units only go up to 18000btus or a tad higher. They have a huge price tag. For that price, you could buy fully decked out brewmagic and ingredients for a year.
True but I have yet to find a reason to dry hop in a carboy because of what you just said, messy, especially with whole hops. If you are doing so I think you have figured out the issue. I see no problem with pellets or buckets.:)
put it in the back of the closet, whats the worse that could happen?try again in 1 month, 2 months and so forth. dumping it now frees up bottles but why not wait it out for awhile?
