Do u think stone is a top 5 brewery in the U.S.?

It comes down to personal preference. Everyone will have their own top 5. Stone wouldn't make my list...I kind of see them as a one trick pony. But what they do...they do well.

Please help...Ball Lock Quick Disconnect on Corny Keg Not Attaching to Poppet...

It may be a gas post on there....move the gas QD over to see if it fits. The gas and liquid posts are different...but you have to look very closely to see it (I spent about an hour once trying to figure out why my liquid QD wouldn't fit on the post).

The whole leaf hops debacle...hop spider?

Looking for some feedback on the use of a hop spider...do they work...do they affect hopping rates? Build or buy? Had a fiasco brewing yesterday with whole leaf hops, If you want the whole story..read on. If not, I'd appreciate any input on these gizmos. I generally use whole leaf hops...

I hate running, but this was awesome.

Go to a running store and get properly fitted for running shoes...that is the most important thing. Don't increase mileage more than 10% a week. And run outside...treadmills are for hamsters (and during hurricanes and blizzards). Beer is a great recovery drink, but don't forget to hydrate.

Well here is my system. I went with a unistrut stand primarily due to cost constraints, as well as the fact it could be easily modified with simple tools. The biggest delay was in obtaining kegs legally and on my budget..took over a year. All in all...she aint perfect, but she's mine.

How long does it take to cool your wort?

Ditto the Duda Diesel 30 plate chiller. One pass through and 10 gallons of 200 degree wort is down to 65.

CPVC or PEX or Single Tier System?

I know some brewers who use these materials. CPVC and PEX have maximum temperature ratings of 180-200F...depending on manufacturer. PVC is rated at less than that. Based on the temp rating alone, they may work on the pre-boil side of your system...but I myself am leary of what higher temps...

    RIMS heater issue

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I know enough about electricity to be dangerous, but never realized that is what a ground fault was. Assumed it was a lack of a path to ground. So I got out my multimeter and tested for continuity between ground and all hot and neutral...
