PVC and other wine bottle caps

I'm just now getting into winemaking. Have first batch closing in on bottling date with a few to follow. Acquiring all needed supplies...floor corker, bottles, corks, wine rack...and...caps? All commercial wines have these seemingly pointless caps made of PVC, aluminum or whatever...

    New to kegging

First kegging set up is on its way :rockin: It is a triple tap kegerator. The set up locks the co2 tank behind the keg's. My question is this; Is it wise to get a second co2 tank, so I can easily gas new keg's before they make it to the cooler? Or just to have when the first blows out?

    calling all disc golfers.....

Brewed very first beer tonight. Imperial Russian Stout. It finished with a bit less OG than anticipated...70, but tasted great. Booyaa! Visited Minn this year to play Blue Ribbon Pines. Also played Bryant, Elm, Koposia and The Valley. Great trip. Minn is ridiculously loaded with solid DG...
