California 6.5 gallon glass carboys with carrying straps - Rocklin, CA

6.5 gallon glass carboy with carrying straps used previously for brewing beer. I have two available. They haven’t been used in a few years, so they’ll need to be cleaned, but they are crack-free and in good shape. $25 each. New, they are currently selling for $50+ each. No shipping. Local pick...

I’m looking to sell My Stout Tanks and Kettles 7.3 gallon "short style" conical fermenter with the tri-clamp butterfly valve upgrade (https://conical-fermenter.com/7-Gallon-Short-Style-Conical-Fermenter-with-Thermowell-Thermometer-and-Butterfly-Valves.html). I don't want to ship, so I'm looking...

    Post Your Final Beer pH

Another 1056 IPA/Double IPA with a really big dry hop... I've never measured pH before and after the dry hop. I thought the pH would rise, but I didn't expect it to go up almost 0.2. Mash pH: 5.45 Post boil (with acid added): 5.04 Post fermentation pH: 4.69 After 8oz dry hop (in 5 gallons) pH: 4.86

    Post Your Final Beer pH

I tested a couple of hoppy commercial beers to find out where their final pH readings fall to see if there is a trend with the ones I like the most. I thought some people might find these interesting, even if it wasn't the true point of the original post. Sierra Celebration: 4.42 pH Alpine...

    Post Your Final Beer pH

I'm not getting the pH as low as I'd like with my IPAs. Next time, I think I'm going to aim for something more like 5.35 pH in the mash and 5.2 pH post boil to try to get to 4.4 or 4.5 pH in the finished beer. I'll likely need to add acid to the kettle to get there. Split batch IPA: 1056...

Nothing has worked out yet, so I thought I'd give this a bump before I head to the brewery on Monday. Thanks again!

California Used MoreBeer 15 Gallon Stainless Brew Kettle: Rocklin, CA

PM returned. I'd still rather prefer to sell this thing locally to avoid shipping, so we'll see if anyone else is interested while I work on a packaging and shipping quote.

**Update 12/27/14: The kettle has sold. Thank you everyone for your interest.** I thought I'd try this again after the holidays, in case anyone is looking for a new kettle. ISO: Heady Topper - Have Grapefruit Scuplin and AVB Gose and Other Nor Cal Beers

I'd love to trade for some Heady. I have a couple of bottles of Grapefruit Scuplin, a few cans of the Anderson Valley Brewing Gose (regular, not blood orange). I can also get most Almanac sours and regularly distributed northern California IPAs (Bear Republic, Drakes, Knee Deep) and other beers...

    Group buy in sacramento

Give one of The Brewmeister locations a call and ask for a price on the sack you want. I buy Great Western two row, Rahr two row, and Weyermann pilsner malt sacks from them regularly, and I find their prices to be reasonable. The gas I'd spend to get them at MoreBeer or elsewhere would make them...

California Used MoreBeer 15 Gallon Stainless Brew Kettle: Rocklin, CA

The previous interested buyers have fallen through, so I thought I'd give this a bump. Just to remind anyone who is potentially interested: I'd like $175 for the kettle. Shipping will be expensive, so I'm hoping to find someone in the Sacramento (I live in Rocklin, CA) area or someone who is...
