I took a handful off with a razor blade the best I could first. I found that heating up the residual gunk made it easier to remove the rest with a second pass. Heated it by sanding over it will a used pad.
Planned on sanding down more and then buffing but I actually like the slightly “brushed”...
Got the citric acid. Just want to make sure I'm on the right path before running this if you don't mind double checking me.
Filling to 10G with tap and heating to 150-160F
Adding in 5lb bag of citric acid (I know it's a overkill, is that ok?)
Running for one hour at 150-160F (Is it ok if I...
Looking for two 5lb tanks, regulators, and misc fittings for ball lock kegs. Can’t use anything larger than a 5lb unfortunately won’t fit in ferm chamber or keezer if bigger.

I’m about to have my first brew day this Sunday in many years. And my first ever being 100% electric. EBiab built from @Bobby_M design.
How can I gauge flow rate visually if I’m trying to hit 1.5 quarts per minute? My main concern is dry firing the element. How will I know if/when the element...
Only going for AL1 right now to let me know if mash temp overshoots too much. The probe is level with the element at 12 o'clock, element at 2 o'clock, whirlpool at 6 o'clock, and pickup at 9 o'clock. I'll take a picture here in a bit.
I have a 15G spike Ebiab setup I'm about to make my inaugural run on. The false bottom is right at the 3 gallon line. Have you had any issues with 5 gallons batches only having 4+/- gallons with actual grain in it?
Sorry for hijacking @Redpappy for what it's worth the Spike kettle is phenomenal...
