    Belgian Christmas ale

reposting as now I am going to start this process... Hey all- wondering if anyone had a recipe for Delirium Noel- I was thinking of brewing soon so it would be nice and aged by xmas for gifting! Also would it be possible/good or bad idea to do a yeast extraction from a delirium noel bottle?

Chunks float to the top when I open my beer

All good questions and I think I know why it's chunky now! I did not use carb tabs- I used priming sugar. It chilled for a while, but than I transported it for a few hour car drive then crammed it in the fridge sideways (it was a jam packed full fridge haha) before I found a way to put it back...

Chunks float to the top when I open my beer

Hey everyone! Is it normal for little chunks to float to the top when you open a homebrew? The beer tasted great. Tiny little white chunk/dots also stuck to the bottom of the glass. I also saw something when I was pouring it that looked like a tiny speck of mold- but it could have been...

BUT PLEASE advise is it is just stupid to bottle with that kind of pellicle. I popped the...

Moldy pellicle- to bottle or to kill with campden!

So I am pretty new to brewing and I just brewed about six 2.5 gallon batches and one of them *undeniably* has something else growing in there! I went away for a 10 day trip and when I returned this is what I found- From what I gathered from internet research it is Brett. Here is the best picture...

2 day cold crash before bottling- bad idea?

Hey all! I have this empty fridge and I was thinking about cold crashing two 2.5 gallon batches (one is a dubbel, and one is a blonde) before bottling. The batches have been in the primary for about 10 days I've had a steady hydrometer reading for 3 days at 1.010-1.009 so I think it's done...
