Germany Trip - Critique My Intinerary

Yeah, we are teetering on the Deutches Museum...It'll be a back-up if the weather is crappy, I think.

Great idea apparently. From my buddy who is coming with: I just browsed your homebrew forum. The last guy had a brilliant suggestion. The day we go to Neuschwanstein, we head back to Munich a slightly different way, and visit Kloster Andechs. On the way we can also see the Wieskirche, which is...

Germany Trip - Critique My Intinerary

Anyone been to Triberg? Right now we are planning on getting there around noon. Not sure if it's worth it to spend a couple hours there and move on, or stay there over night and get going to Baden Baden the next day.

Just looked it up and Leipzig is another 3.5 hours past Rothenburg. Not sure if we can fit it in.

We are worried about it and are remaining flexible with the schedule. Having a real apartment, and our own car, may help though, no?

Thanks for the input. We are definitely going to Augustiner. I just hope the weather cooperates. My buddy going with lived in Tübingen, so that was already discussed as a possibility. Definitely going to check out the other things you mentioned. Thanks.

Just found out that the Spring Festival "Frühlingsfest" will be going on the entire time we are there. Seems like the spring version of Oktoberfest.

So, my wife and I are going to Germany with another couple. He's German and knows Munich and the surrounding areas very well. We'll have an apt. that we are using as our home base in downtown Munich. Our tentative plan is listed below, but we are pretty flexible. Right now we are trying to...

How bad would it be for Canada...

I can't believe all the Caps are out... What an ugly game for Ovi and the Russians. Anyway, considering the prelim US. vs Canada game was the second highest rated tv broadcast in their history, I'd say it is a BFD to them. The entire country will collapse if they do anything but win gold.

jack and jill / stag and doe party ideas

My brother threw a stag for me a couple years ago now...find a friend who is an elk, vfw, or legion member. Their hall rates are usually very reasonable. Coming from CT, my brother had a hard time selling the "stag' idea to my MD friends. They didn't understand the idea. He did "admission"...

    Hop Stoopid

I keep reading the real thing uses hop extract for the ridiculous aroma.

    Hop Stoopid

Hmm... where did you get the recipe? The numbers pretty much match up, although your bitterness number seems low. I plugged it in and got closer to the real thing. Looks good.

Jay Leno Should Retire So Conan Doesn't Walk

The Hitler clip is an internet meme that’s been going around. People just change the subtitles for whatever, they’re pretty good. This one is of Hitler’s reaction to hearing about the change in NBC’s late night lineup. Pretty funny.

Confused about pressures for Counter-Pressure bottling

I just use the ghetto racking cane jammed in a cobra tap and a rubber stopper for a seal. No foaming at any PSI as long as the seal is maintained and there is + pressure in the bottle. 3psi seems the most manageable though. And always make sure beer is properly carbed before bottling....and...
