Thought i would resurrect this from the dead because i would really like to have a DC clone on tap this spring. Has anyone tried their hat at brewing m750's version of this?
I had this same problem with S-05 and a similar OG IPA (pitched onto a S-05 yeast cake). I warmed it up, but it didnt seem to do anything. Ended up pitching champagne yeast and my beer went from stuck at about 1.028 to about 1.018 which i was happy with. Have it on tap now and is one of the best...
I had a good yield on my hop plants this year so I wanted to brew a big IIPA using exclusively my own homegrown hops. I brewed the recipe below and right now as it sits in the keg it seems to be a dry hop away from being great.
The problem is that I'm really not sure what i want from the...
I bought a lb of spalt hops from hopsshack for dirt cheap before I knew that I didn't like them. I brewed an Octoberfest with them and found out I couldn't stand them. The label on the hops said "1% ALpha Acid". I almost threw the rest of them away but I decided to use them for bittering in a...
This has an interesting hop schedule. What do you feel you gain by having such a diversity of bittering addition hops?
A lot of times on this site you'll see one, maybe two additions for 30 mins or longer and it usually only consists of 1 or 2 hop varieties. Here you've got 3+ varieties at...
I could care less about style. It's malted wheat. I'm thinking Of doing an ale with Columbus for bittering and willamette for flavor/aroma.
S05 for yeast and ibu's at about a pale ale level.
My LHBS always has a batch of grain that someone made but decided to abandon for some reason or another. So what do they do with these orphaned grain bill? Mark it down 50% and wait for some sucker like me who can't resist a deal to buy it.
So the last time I was in the store they had one of...
So just like the title says, I just bought a pound of Nelson Sauvin Hops, a hop I've never used. What should I brew? If anyone has a recipe (all grain) they like that really showcases this hop that would be awesome!
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
Here Are some pics of my very hazy IPA. I took the pics last night, 5 days after it was poured into the jar and stored in the fridge. Whatever it is, it is not settling out at all.
